International Puppy

International Puppy Winner Patch

International Puppy 2013 was created November 2011 to celebrate the puppy community.
The contest is to show the best of the best from around the country and around the world.

International Puppy was created to fill the void left after the International Puppy and Trainer Conference (IPTC) was abandoned in 2010 (see IPTC Press Release).  It was originally designed by pup Flip Gray and boy Woodie Barnes to be a local Leather Puppy category for the Tampa Bay Leather Sir and Leather Boy Contest which quickly became the model used by many other puppy contests around the nation.  After the initial announcement for the Tampa Bay Leather Sir/boy/puppy Contest, feedback from puppies outside the Tampa Bay area and outside the leather community required it to rapidly expand to be pansexual and include all puppy breeds (leather, rubber, etc.).  To avoid the confusion and conflict caused by being part of the local leather contest, it was decided to make it a separate contest open to all puppies internationally regardless of breed, gender or location.

International Puppy did not attempt to revive the abandoned IPTC as International Puppy's focus is not about trainers or handlers, it is all about giving puppies with or without owners or trainers a place to show off, have some fun and earn a title at the same time.  Details about the categories used by the IPTC contest and information about how they were judged could not be retrieved and very little information could be found about the IPTC in the Leather Archives so pup flip and Sir Joseph Mastrapasqua of Puppy Graphics, LLC created a new contest from scratch using the existing Tampa Bay Leather SIR/boy/puppy contest as a model and registered it in the state of Florida.

Puppy Pride Flag / Dog Pride Flag

Puppy Pride Flag / Dog Pride Flag

This is the design I used to make the Puppy Pride Flags and Puppy Pride Decals used by the Tampa Leather Club, the Tampa Bay Leather Sir & Leather boy Contest, the Saint Petersburg Pride Parade, the Tampa Bay Leather n Fetish Pride Event and it is the official Puppy Pride flag of International Puppy.

The Puppy Pride Flag is similar to the 7 stripe design created by Jeff Hull (Grungepup Jeff) but has the same number of Black, Blue and White Stripes as the Leather Pride Flag created by Tony DeBlase that is a symbol for the leather community, which encompass those who are into leather, Levi's, SM, BD, uniform, cowboys, rubber, and other fetishes. The Stripes are set on a 30 degree diagonal reminiscent of the boy flag designed by Keith Pollanen to indicate a new direction. The White Stripe is wider than the other stripes to represent the broadness of the puppy community. The blood Red Bone in the center of the flag indicates the unconditional, non-judgmental heart of the puppy.

I am releasing this design to public domain so it can be used royalty free for private or commercial use. Feel free to copy and use it.
